The Rank Order Personality Report presents an ordering of the Nanny's personality traits. Those traits in the top third of the report are core components of the nanny's personality. Those traits in the bottom third of the report are not likely to be consistently shown by the nanny compared to those traits in the upper third of the report. The number in the '%' column is a percentile score on that trait, and indicates how that nanny compares to a group of over 1000 other nannies who took the personality screen. Percentile scores between 40 and 60 would be considered average with respect to the group, while scores above 60 and below 40 would be considered above average and below average, respectively.

If a nanny scores highly on a measure of social desirability, she is probably attempting to exaggerate her good traits, and the report will show an alert. This means that the report may be invalid, and should be interpreted with caution. In this case, carefully consider her work experience, longevity in previous jobs, and references, in deciding whether to pursue her. A high social desirability score throws the report into question, but she may still be a very good nanny. Just rely less on the personality report, and put more weight on references, job experience, and your in-person interview, if you proceed to that step.

If the nanny does not use the ends of the scale while completing the screen, the report may also show as invalid. This shows a cautious response set. In this case, if you are interested in her, ask her to re-take the screen and make sure she uses the ends of the response scale when appropriate as she completes the screen.
